Editorial Policies
Clear rules to ensure fairness, transparency, and ethical editorial decision-making.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions are based on quality, originality, scope fit, and validation. Decisions are not influenced by personal, institutional, or commercial considerations.
Conflicts of interest
Editors and reviewers must declare conflicts (collaboration, competition, institutional ties, financial interests). If a conflict exists, the manuscript is reassigned to another editor.
Appeals process
Authors may appeal a decision if they believe a serious misunderstanding occurred. Appeals should be sent to editor@jddiea.org with a clear explanation and evidence. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or an independent editor. The outcome of an appeal is final.
Complaints
Complaints related to editorial handling, ethics, conflicts, or reviewer conduct may be reported to the editorial office. JDDIEA will review the complaint, document the process, and respond within a reasonable time frame.
Special issues
Special issues may be organized to highlight emerging topics. Guest editors must follow the same peer-review and ethics standards as regular issues. The Editor-in-Chief retains final decision authority to protect journal quality and integrity.
Corrections and retractions
If a significant error or ethical issue is discovered after publication, JDDIEA may publish a correction, retraction, or editorial note to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
